Ecotourism Guesthouse Vasiliu - Crisan

The departure to the Delta begins with the boarding on the “Passenger”, the largest ship docked on Tulcea’s cliff. We discover the bustle of the locals, we sneak through a multitude of luggage, we hear colorful voices of the various languages of the communities of the Delta. The deck is shaky, we feel the cool of the water drops and smell the river.
We set off on the Sulina canal carried by a fresh breeze. The villages begin to unfold: Partizani, Maliuc, Gorgova… And now Crisanul a string of houses planted in the sand over a stretch of seven kilometers. Most of them are built in a traditional manner of clay and reed. In front of them, docked on the canal bank , float blue, green and black boats, on each one time has left its mark. Are they resting or are ready to go fishing?
A newer house draws our attention: The Vasiliu ecoturistical pension. The still golden reed of the roof shines under the sun. A long porch invites us to enter the house , where we discover a simple and welcoming atmosphere: wooden furniture, striped floor, economic light bulbs, natural paint…
Petre and Caroline Vasiliu know the secrets of this wild dominion of water and unravel them to nature lovers from all across Europe. Well seated in our kayaks, we explore together the narrow canals, we make our way through the reeds, the water lilies, we hide ourselves in order to observe the everyday life of the various bird families that only allow to be watched from a safe distance.
